Loft is known to go off, especially on Saturday nights. Great DJs playing awesome tracks is to be expected. The venue is fairly big, and fills up around 11-12. Age group is mostly 18-25 however the occasional older person can be spotted. Dress is smart casual and girls with short skirts won't feel out of place. Loft attacks a dancy crowd though there is ample area/couches for sitting down. The bar gets crowded however isn't unreasonable. A major draw back of the venue can be getting in. Hence dont plan a boys night out. If planning a night out on Saturday get there before 10.

The vibe changes every week, take a group of friends with you for a fun night. Seems smallish at first, but as the place fills up, you realise that it's quite a large venue. On Saturdays (absolutely kicking!) expect from 18s up to footy player-aged guys chilling and/or dancing along.

This place has to have the most consistently good looking crowd I've seen in
Melbourne clubs. I'm a model, but don't even stand out because of the other
talent..... heaps more girls than guys, and every second guy seems to be an athlete of some kind. It's hard to get into until
they know you, but now it's the best! AND they won't let young guys in under 21
unless they know the owners - finally a club with NO little boys trying to fight
& NO little boys throwing up everywhere while they try to figure out how to
handle their alcohol, See you Saturday!!

The Loft is a great place on Saturday nights, especially since it is open late and is still going strong when other places are winding down. It can get pretty packed, but in a good way, and there are lots of friendly people there. There's heaps of space for dancing, and also quite a few couches if you feel like a bit of a chat.

YES, it really is that simple. We hook up an open guest list for you under your name so all your friends have to do is mention your name at reception and when you get 10 friends in before 11pm you can pick up a $100 drink card from reception... NO CATCH!
All you have to do is call me and we can hook it up or sms/email me your name for the guest list and the no of people that are coming and ill hook it up. Make sure your friends drop your name at reception and get in early (doors open at 9pm).

This place has to have the most consistently good looking crowd I've seen in
Melbourne clubs. I'm a model, but don't even stand out because of the other
talent..... heaps more girls than guys, and every second guy seems to be an athlete of some kind. It's hard to get into until
they know you, but now it's the best! AND they won't let young guys in under 21
unless they know the owners - finally a club with NO little boys trying to fight
& NO little boys throwing up everywhere while they try to figure out how to

The Loft on a Sat night is an extremely popular nightclub. Get there well before midnight on Saturday as you won't get in otherwise! Saturday is the most popular night in Melbourne, the crowd consists mainly of 18-25 year olds with the odd exception! The music is top 40 and RnB all night and it has a massive dancefloor to cater for all the dancing crowd. It's full of beauties!! Love it xxxxoooo

This is the place to be on a Saturday night - if you're out for a big one! From the funky, laid back couches to rest those party-hardened feet to the awesome clubbing beats, the Loft is one of Melbourne's most visited clubs. While DJs spin beats of the top 40, a bit of electro and the latest house/commercial dance & RnB tunes the urge to dance is almost unfightable!

A quick scout of the venue revealed two main rooms, the main dance room has an abundance of couches and private areas, perfect for that 2am heart to heart with a total stranger, or a round of shots with your friends. The DJ desk, staged at the front of the dance floor was open, letting you see exactly what goes into a well produced set of dance; and this was an excellent set packed with all the dance floor fillers! The dancefloor was full, and friendly - not once did we trip over girls bags strategically placed like Wild west circle of wagons, and not once was our smile unreturned... Word of advice get in early to secure a podium and to avoid the que. Great night out with the girls... Very excited at finding a new place to party on a Sat night!!

14.02: Fire fundraiser & valent

Hey Party Animals,
Its been a tough week. The fires came to within a couple of hundred metres of one of our offices (thanks to a moron with an angle grinder; Elvis saved us) but our fear seems insignificant compared to what else happened.
As is our style, we’re going to party to help everyone get back on track...Valentine’s party & fire fundraiser this Sat Feb 14 @ The Loft
We have spoken to some friends at the Red Cross and The Loft. We’ll have collection buckets at the door and bar so you can choose your contribution. We suggest you use the guestlist and give the savings to the cause. We’ll have some other (optional) FUNdraising during the night.
We’ll also ensure CFA or other fire volunteers having a well earnt night off are well looked after.
And of course, we’ll party like mad, like we always do at The Loft!
What’s more, it’ll be Valentine’s Day, and they already had plans to stoke up the romance in a venue where there’s always plenty of that.
Where: The Loft, 117 Lonsdale St, Melbourne CBD. Doors open 9pm ‘til late.
The Loft also wanted to say that they recognise that many of their patrons come from Melbourne’s North-East. Their thoughts & wishes are with you.Other fire fundraisers @ clubs
There aren’t many clubs doing fire fundraisers. This is all we found:
Marrakech & Baroq: Fri 5-6pm, donating profits.
Beach Hotel: Sat 1-9pm, auctions & buckets(info)

Hallam: Sun 22nd 8pm-2am: $20 entry is the donation, top bands, DJs (info)

City 1am License Bid
The City of Melbourne has a plan to limit new venues to 1am licenses and more. We think it will stop any new clubs opening. Take a look at the plan and give them your opinion on their official Facebook page.Other Valentine’s Parties

This place is out of control. Packed full of the hottest girls in melbourne who just want to party without the attitude you get at other nightclubs. Awesome music, the dance floor is always jumping & gorgeous bar staff. If you're up for a huge night than you can't go past the loft. It's a winner.
