Is it true that edgy is busier than it used to be on Saturdays since Wild Bill's
closed? Anyone know what crowd is like - age group - and if Mojo are still
playing there? Thanks :-)

Mojo
Went to The Edgy a couple of Saturdays ago. Different sort of a night, but a
pretty good one. We were there early, about 9.30-10 until 11.30, but it was
reasonably busy. In fact, it was almost packed downstairs, and people flowed
upstairs as it opened.
The crowd was pretty attractive. A diversity of ages (18-30), but well dressed
and well behaved.
Downstairs, like a pub: watch the footy and down a few drinks. Upstairs,
slightly more club like. Good commercial DJ, and Mojo were onstage.
Mojo are pretty good. They have a good sound, a good playlist, and a fun
attitude on stage. They play a bit of everything, but there top 40 covers were
very good.

The Edgy is a nice old pub that has been renovated, and looks excellent. The crowd is a good mix of 18-40, most of the upper age bracket there due to the private functions that they seem to have on every week. People are dressed well, but the dress code is fairly flexible. There were jeans amongst the crowd.

The crowd were mostly there by 8pm in the downstairs bit, the crowd had moved into the upstairs by 10:15pm. The band went on at 10:30pm. It was quite busy, and the crowd that was there really got into it.

It is a big place, has a dance floor in front of the stage, several pool tables, plenty of seating, very long bar.

Entertainment is provided by the band, Re-surge, who played a good mix of top 40/dance/retro/rock.

Drinks were at normal bar prices, nothing over the top.

I go there for the nice environment, good crowd, great coverband, and great music.
