1422 thursdays feature a live cover band that bring a fanstatic energy to the crowd. The drinks are low-priced at $5 for anything in the fridge, and the general atmosphere is well worth a look.

Slid by 1422 to do some photos for the website last Thursday. Its a karaoke
night, and regular readers know what I think of karaoke. Fortunately DJ Craig
Williams offered musical relief between sets.
Its a night that has potential. Everyone has said that 1422 is a bit like the
Hallam, and it is, and it is the perfect size for a Thursday. The base of the
crowd is there for that to happen. Its an okay student / apprentice type of
crowd, and a pretty easy night with plenty of pool tables, a bit of karaoke, a
bit of dancing, a bit of drinking, and plenty of lounges. There's not much else
out here on a Thursday, and the base is there, so it is a chance of firing.
