The Hallam has been open again on Fridays for the past three weeks. We'd heard whispers, but nothing solid until recently.
They have the Flaming Moes, the band that made The Hallam Fridays so popular about eight years ago.
Apparently they had about 250 there for the launch.

Dropped by the opening of Mezz Lounge last night. They have transformed the
Hallam's old Shed 7 into an over 25s venue. It looks great. Heaps of lounge
space and cool retro grooves.
The crowd was over 25s, not a bad mix, and pretty busy. They want to be
different to Brass Monkey by attracting an older crowd, and they look like
achieving it. If you want a few less 18 year olds, and less intense clubbing,
its a good way to go.
