That’s a big call, especially seeing as we’ve seen everything in Melbourne, a lot of America, Canada, Europe, the UK and every other city in Australia, but Bobby McGee’s is the greatest. Why? Because its unique and so much fun. We can’t wait. Its going to be busy. They’ve presold even more tickets than we expected. There’s more info below. You’ll be pleased to know there are some great new nights on the horizon. There’s two fun Fridays, a cool Sunday, and maybe even two Thursdays that’ll be advertising here soon. They look good. The Loft Saturday rocking The Loft Saturday is our favourite night here at the moment. Its really good fun, great music, and a real Max Moose sort of a crowd. There’s some great video and pics on their MySpace and website. Twister/Bass on the move Twister’s final night at The Palace was massive; huge queue at 9.30 and full most of the night. Ugly is moving Twister to Casey’s/Cheers this week. Bass Fridays are moving to Evolution for the next two weeks. The Middle (FTG) launches successfully The Middle’s Flashback Saturday made a good start. Lots of people, good 80s and 90s music, good times. See the ad. The Drink resurgence: BB07’s Hayley Wednesday The Drink has really grown over the last couple of weeks. We’ve heard good reports about Friday and Saturday, and the new Wednesday is finding its feet well. Hayley from Big Brother will be there this Wednesday. Moose Bus Tours Nightclub bus tours are a lot of fun. A bus, your friends, four clubs and competitions. Because you’re all on a bus, nobody has to worry about driving. Its a great night out. Check out our bus tours page.   Bobby’s is back just for tonight Bobby’s is going to be great tonight. They’ve presold hundreds of tickets already. MC Dean Thomas will be running the games just like old times. See the ad for more details. We can’t wait. The Wheelers closes Another insitution has closed. The Wheelers, one of the best Thursdays in town, closed its nightclub due to licensing. Details are sketchy but it’ll reopen or move. Its too good to lose. Details will be on the Moose first. No smoking in 3½ Saturdays All licensed Victorian venues have to go non-smoking on Sunday July 1 (hooray say the 80% who don’t smoke). Its been relatively uncontroversial here, and it should be seeing as our surveys tell us that a massive majority think its about time. CQ and Fix are already smoke free and going well, and a few places like Star Bar now have beer gardens. Odeon: DJ Pete Williams Queen’s Birthday Monday This Monday, Queen’s birthday night, Pete Williams is doing the house set following Dean and Johnny. Pete has been setting Canberra alight but is best known for his sets at Dale & Danny’s Blue. Check it out Monday.
